Podcasting

For this assignment, we were to develop a podcast and run with it. I chose the subject of traveling and developed four episodes.

Episode 1

I want to go... somewhere.

This episode is about deciding on vacation destinations. It is important to decide what you want to do and where you are willing to go to do it.

Episode 2

4 Star, 3 Star, What's a Star?

This episode discusses the how to make reservations. Online sites have made researching and reserving lodging and activities easier and faster.

Episode 3

Passport, Traveler’s Checks, Visa…. Oh My….

This episode discusses what documents are needed and how to deal with money conversions while traveling abroad. Government websites provide a large amount of information about travel rules and regulations. Money conversions need to be timed so you get the best conversion rate. The rate changes daily.

Episode 4

Another suitcase….. ahhhhhhhhh!!!!

This episode discusses how to pack efficiently and effectively. Over packing is a huge problem for some. This episode gives some tips on how to pack what you need and want without packing everything you own.

Radio Show

For this assignment, we were to find a radio show and recreate it. The recreation was to have the script with sound effects. I chose an episode of My Favorite Husband. Ironically, my husband, Grant, played the role of the George.

My first attempt at Newscasting

In this assignment, we were to find a news article and record ourselves reading it. This article is about a man who was given a pardon from Governor Huckabee for drunk driving. He was recently arrested for driving while intoxicated.

PowerPoint with Audio

In this assignment, we were to develop a demonstrative PowerPoint with embedded audio. My PowerPoint is on how to oil valves on a musical instrument.
